31 May 2021 (redux)

A glorious mid-afternoon walk down Burlees Lane and up through Hill House Wood. Hebden Bridge has reached Peak Yellow.

A buzzard hovered above the ridge at the bottom of the lower field on the Farm, then shot off towards Mytholmroyd, mewing constantly. It’s good to see them becoming a bit more common around here: like many birds of prey, for some inexplicable reason, they don’t seem to fare well in grouse-shooting country.
