Nothing much to report from our early evening walks around the lanes this week—until this evening. As we headed down the Carr track, we heard the familiar burbling of a curlew behind us, and were rewarded with a close fly-by. I love curlews, associated as they are with three of my favourite haunts: my beloved Anglesey, the Dee Marshes, and our Hebden Bridge home.

Curlew

Another fabulous sunset, with Venus shining like a beacon high overhead.
