Book Review: ‘Enough Said’ by Alan Bennett

‘Enough Said’ by Alan Bennett

Enough Said is the fourth volume of Alan Bennett’s diaries. As with its predecessors, it is funny, moving, occasionally outspoken, and not to be missed.

This volume is particularly poignant, as Bennett, who passes the age of 90 during it, makes no secret of his increasing frailty and increasing reliance on other people. Not that he seems to let such concerns get him down.

I wish more people published this sort of diary. But, if it were that easy, I suspect more people would.

Excellent.
